Singer Josh Groban, whose new CD "Awake" debuts at No. 2 on the pop charts next week, will be hitting the road beginning late February. The highly anticipated Awake Tour announced today by Live Nation, the tour's producer, will take the multi-platinum recording artist around the globe. Concert dates for the first leg -- 29 cities -- begin February 17 in Verona, New York at the Turning Stone Casino with other highlights including NYC's Madison Square Garden on March 12, LA's Staples Center on March 31 and the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on April 7. more...

Josh Groban's "Awake" Debuts at #2 on Billboard Charts

Josh Groban's "Awake" (143/Reprise) cracks the chart at No. 2, moving 270,000 units. While the number falls short of the 375,000 that greeted "Closer" in 2003, Groban still earns his best-charting debut week. "Closer" eventually reached No. 1 in its ninth week on the chart.

No fear fans, with no air play, this is fantastic and he will be #1 soon enough!

"So She Dances" at ClassyPraise

"So She Dances" -- I love this piece of music from Josh Groban's new CD forthcoming on November 7 that I "just had to" create a java page at Classy Praise for it. I included the BBC concert as well. If you want a visual and audio treat, go see it. One thing the new album has created is incentive for me to finish the ClassyPraise music site which I have been promising to do.

Listening to Josh Groban's concert last evening on the BBC, I could not help but get inspired by "She Dances" -- just beautiful, as were all of his songs but this one really spoke to my heart and especially as a former ballerina. There is something very poignant and lovely about music about the dance. I hope you, my sisters and friends, had the opportunity to listen to this wonderful young man. It is really a treat as is the whole concert performance.

The BBC is airing this concert (see post below) for about a week so if you did not have the opportunity, you still can. For those that would like the file, that great gal and keeper of the music, Nay, has put it up on her website for download. The file consists of Josh Groban selections only.

Josh Groban's new single "Solo Por Ti" has been released. It is a beautiful song and takes you to another time and place. It is available on "iTunes" for immediate download as well as other download sites. This single is one of the selections on the new "Awake" album due out on November 7th. The "You Are Loved" single is also available for download.

ClassyFriends: As promised, I am working on the P&P page on the site again and until it is finished, I thought I would post this excellent video I found at YouTube. I know there is a disagreement for folks of which P&P they like best (I like the Colin Firth version better -- sounds familiar, like the PTO Crawford-Butler disagreement) but I like this one too for a new dose of P&P and thus I did a search for the video in pictures. The movie trailer is available at YouTube as well in the event you have not seen it.
I watched several of the P&P offers at YouTube and they have some good ones but this one was particularly well done...I think a must-see. This music video contains the original movie, some dialogue and the beautiful voice and music of Josh Groban singing "My Confession."

Art, Color, Rain ..."Remember When It Rained"

"Remember When It Rained"

As I work on design projects today and look out my office window, I was reminded of Josh Groban's "Remember When It Rained" and tuned in to my iTunes and listened. It is a beautiful song and as I worked with "flowers," I thought of Theberge' art and his use of "rain" and "water" subjects (and, of course, umbrellas). His use of color is amazing and especially as you think about the "greyness" of rainy days. I added some "rain" to one of his pieces to get the full effect of my thoughts. Thus, a video for you with Josh singing and playing "Remember When It Rained. Just fantastic, both the art and the video. Enjoy!

Well, at last, it looks like Josh Groban, our favorite vocalist, will give a glimpse of his new long-awaited studio CD on Labor Day Monday with the single "You Are Loved" ("Don't Give Up") which will be showcased at both AOL Music and canada.com/entertainment.
