Josh Groban Awake "Live" -- Incredible!

Is there anything more incredible vocally than Josh Groban singing his own music live seated at the piano and just blowing everyone away? We don't think so! "Remember When It Rained" is an all-time favorite for JJG fans and beloved like "February Song" and "Awake" -- those you just have to hear over and over again. Josh was pretty amazing on the original Closer version of this song but live, in person, with the maturity of his voice is phenomenal to say the least. Crank up your players and have a visual and audio treat!

Josh Groban "McDreamy Musician"

McDreamy Musicians

Talk about old school, Josh Groban is one singer who tickles older women with his dramatic, emphatically romantic vocal style, steeped in pre-rock passion. (Gary Lewis)

Josh Groban Live at the Piano & Vanilla Lattes!

There is just nothing like Josh Groban sitting at his piano and singing these wonderful songs where we can hear every note of that beautiful voice...like warm butter...melting you off to another place. This is especially so with his live version of "Broken Vow" without the orchestration. It is another one of my "new" favorites. I am especially fond of "February Song" "Remember When It Rained" and "Awake" at the piano and have added this live version to that "favorite" playlist in my iPod. It is just gorgeous and the combo of Josh singing, a beautiful "almost fall" day with my Vanilla Latte is just about as close to perfection of moments that you can get! Give a listen...I think you will agree! _jacy

Josh Groban Awake Tour Photo Galleries, Videos, Wallpaper & More

[Photo courtesy of JoyPalsDesignStudio (aka ClassyMusic)]

Beauty in the eye of the beholder? You bet and in "The Voice" too! I know you are all missing Josh as he takes a break (R&R - kinda 8o)) before his tour hops over to Australia and points beyond, and, that you are anticipating the Christmas album in October, so I thought this would be a good time to get the galleries finished, the Awake Tour videos up on YouTube and update this site. As you see, we have created a new background "justjoshgroban" style and have included a music selection of Josh singing live "Not While I'm Around." We have added a few wallpaper pictures (which new wallpaper is also forthcoming). The new JoshGroban Galleries have eight formal galleries on each of our two websites and they will be finished today and we will post the link for you here. The videos will be completed and up by early next week and a Bulletin and mailing will be sent as well. We hope these goodies will help you during the lull and bring back special moments for you. Until my next post, enjoy the site, Josh's incredible "Not While I'm Around" and be sure to visit us over at YouTube for Josh's "Awake Moments" and all 17! of our "Josh" videos. __jacy

p.s. For our Josh Groban-Michael Buble fans...we have created a large gallery for Michael as well from his recent tour at Patriot Center. A post on that will be on ClassyMusicPraise.

Josh Groban Awake Tour: Review: Denver

Groban is known for his voice, but his hands won this concert
Singer showed off his versatile talent with impressive piano and drum playing
By Karen Cotton
Wyoming Tribune

Some things are better live.

Having listened to his CD countless times in preparation for an interview, I can attest that witnessing the complete Josh Groban in person was multitudes better than popping that disk into my car stereo.

The man's known for that world-class baritone voice, but it was his fingers that caught my eye during his Aug. 29 concert at the Pepsi Center in Denver.

Groban's ivory key talents were showcased as a piano ascended on a lift that became part of the stage.

He has that "geeky" persona, but he somehow transforms into a more sophisticated person who's in control as his fingers glide effortlessly up and down the piano.

The only bad part was his piano was turned where only the right hand side of the audience could see his hands. The position of the piano didn't allow the entire audience to witness the pianist at work. Instead, the majority of the audience interested in that aspect watched a screen above the stage.

And it was fascinating to watch Groban using his voice coder while performing the song "Lullaby."

It's an unusual piece of equipment not often seen in live settings. Instead of using a pre-recorded choral track, Groban used the coder to transform his single voice into that of the chorus. ...more...
